Why Should 25-oh-vitamin D And Hcy Be Tested Together?

Vitamin D deficiency is known to be strongly associated with bone metabolic disease and rickets.


In recent years, there has been increasing evidence that vitamin D deficiency may also lead to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Clinical findings show that serum vitamin D concentration is significantly associated with a decreased risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular death.
